FROM THE LOVE OF FOOD AND DRINK COMES A CALIFORNIA WINE COUNTRY INNOVATION
Taste testing is a key step in the winemaking process that helps to create the best blends of each vintage. Frustrated with tired taste buds, a group of winemakers got together to create a perfectly balanced and clean refreshment that would allow them to taste everything.
They carefully studied how taste works and took inspiration from traditional palate cleansers, like sorbet. The result: SanTásti the Palate Cleansing Beverage… a professional tasting aid that was called “the greatest invention for wine since the oak barrel.”
The beverages would go on to help people explore flavors in tasting rooms and to be shared at all of California’s Central Coast’s top wine, food, craft beer and spirit events. In this crucible of gastronomy new flavors were tested and the crisp blends evolved.
Palates were refreshed and satisfied in a way that water and soda never could. The new blends made enjoying everything from a mid-day refreshment to mixing a cocktail a smother and cleaner experience. A new class of refreshment had been found.
